Paediatric Patients may be referred to our Doctors for Gastroscopy and/or Colonoscopy procedures by their GP or Specialist. However we do not provide consultation in rooms for patients under the age of 18.
Our rooms are located at South Hobart
Our opening hours are between 9:00-4:00pm, with phone service between 10:00am-4:00pm.
There is generally a waiting period of between 4-8 weeks for consultations and 2-4 weeks for endoscopic investigations. All urgent cases will be accommodated as soon as possible.
If you experience an emergency, please call 000 or present to the Emergency Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital or Calvary Hospital for further emergency care.
Gastrohealth Hobart is always at the forefront of GI endoscopy, bringing the latest and most advanced diagnostic and treatment in GI endoscopy to our patients in Hobart. We are proud to announce that, in collaboration with Hobart Specialist Day Hospital, Dr. Yee has performed the first case of TXI diagnostic endoscopy in Southern Tasmania, using the most advanced endoscopy system from OLYMPUS medical, the EVIS XI system. TXI endoscopy is considered as the new standard of care in diagnostic endoscopy, improving detection and characterisation of lesions. Both Dr. Yee and Dr. McCulloch have endoscopy lists at Hobart Specialist Day Hospital.
Further information regarding TXI technology can be found here.
