Thank you for contacting our practice and visiting our website. We provide consultative, Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and paediatric gastroenterology services for our patients. 

Direct Access Endoscopy (Adult patients only)

• We provide Direct Access Gastroscopy and/or Colonoscopy service for adult patients if you think that it is appropriate. Our Direct Access form can be downloaded here.
• We aim to provide endoscopic services without much of a waiting time and we can accommodate urgent referral and requests.
• Sometimes, we may need to discuss and organise a consultation with the patient due to complexity of their care.
• We will generally contact your patient within 30 days of receiving the referral, if your patient has not heard from us within this time, please ring us.

Consultations (Adult and paediatric patients)

• Our general consultation waiting time is between 4-8 weeks dependent on urgency.
• Our team will contact the patient once your referral has been received and triaged accordingly.
• All endoscopy requests for paediatric patients will be seen prior to booking.
• A/Prof. Yee no longer accepts new patient consultation, but will continue to accept endoscopy requests and follow up as needed.
• We will generally contact your patient within 30 days of receiving the referral, if your patient has not heard from us within this time, please ring us.

Privately insured patients

• We are known gap providers for most health funds. We will provide financial information and consent for your patient prior to booking the procedure.
• Please note that there might be additional charges such as anaesthetic, pathology services, depending on health funds
• Waiting periods and finance checks are performed by relevant hospitals prior to completion of booking of procedure.

Non-insured patients 

• The overall cost for having Gastroscopy and/or Colonoscopy is between A$3,500-5,000, depending on which facility and complexity of the case.
• Our rooms will provide quotes for your patient and will request quotes from other service providers, including the hospital involved as well as anaesthetic costs.
• There might also be medications, equipment and/or pathology costs involved.

Referral triaging process

• Our doctors personally triage all referrals. 
• Once we have received your referral, either via fax or healthlink, we aim to contact your patient within 2 weeks.
• If you patient has a referral, they can upload the referral on this website by completing a secure form. This will facilitate the process of getting an appointment or organising an Endoscopy procedure with us
• We will generally contact your patient within 30 days of receiving the referral, if your patient has not heard from us within this time, please ring us.
